Constitution Day Quiz
As part of the observance of Indian Constitution Day, the NSS Units 54 and 130 of Panampilly Memorial Government College, Chalakudy, organised a Quiz Competition on 1st December 2025 (Monday) at 1:30 p.m. in the Seminar Hall.
The programme aimed to create awareness among students about the Indian Constitution, its values, provisions, and the significance of constitutional principles in a democratic society. The quiz witnessed enthusiastic participation from students of various departments.
The quiz was effectively conducted by Dr. Dileep P. Chandran, Assistant Professor, Dept. of Political science who served as the Quiz Master. At the end of the competition, the winners were announced as follows:
First Prize: Adheena Monsy, 2nd BA Political Science
Second Prize: Shilna P. S., 2nd BA Political Science

SIR Digitization Programme
The NSS Units 54 and 130 of Panampilly Memorial Government College, Chalakudy, actively participated in the digitisation of the Special Intensive Report (SIR) as part of a community service initiative aimed at supporting local governance and development planning.
The programme was carried out in the months of November and December , during which NSS volunteers assisted in the digitisation work of SIR reports from the villages of Thazheekkad, Pariyaram, Chalakudy, and Kallettumkara. Volunteers contributed by entering, verifying, and organising data to ensure accuracy and accessibility in the digital records.

Awareness class on Government Online Services
The NSS Units 54 and 130 of Panampilly Memorial Government College, Chalakudy, conducted a Awareness class on government online service for NSS volunteers on 20th November 2025 at the Seminar hall .The session commenced at 2:30 p.m.
The programme aimed to create awareness among students about the various online services provided by the Government of Kerala, enabling them to access essential certificates and facilities through digital platforms. The session focused on educating volunteers about using the e-District portal to apply for certificates and documents, and the ReLIS portal of the Revenue Department to pay land tax using mobile devices.
The session was handled by Mrs. Reema E.K, Village field assistant Chalakudy ,who delivered an informative and engaging presentation on how digital initiatives help citizens access services efficiently without visiting government offices. She emphasised the importance of digital literacy and encouraged students to make use of online platforms responsibly.

Painting Work at ELINJIPRA COMMUNITY HEALTH CENTRE
On 17th November 2025, the NSS Units 54 and 130 of Panampilly Memorial Government College, Chalakudy, undertook a full-day painting and beautification drive at the Elinjipra Community Health Centre as part of their community service initiatives.
A committed group of NSS volunteers worked throughout the day, engaging in cleaning, surface preparation, and painting various sections of the health centre. Their coordinated efforts helped transform the facility, creating a brighter, cleaner, and more welcoming atmosphere for patients, staff, and visitors.

Gandhi Jayanti Obervance
The NSS Units 54 and 130 of Panampilly Memorial Government College, Chalakudy, observed Gandhi Jayanti on 2nd October 2025 by conducting a campus and premises cleaning drive.The programme began with a brief tribute to Mahatma Gandhi, followed by a talk on the relevance of cleanliness and Gandhian values. NSS volunteers actively participated in cleaning the college campus and surrounding areas, promoting the message of Swachh Bharat and environmental responsibility.
The event reflected the NSS motto “Not Me, But You” and served as a fitting tribute to the Father of the Nation.The camp was conducted in association with the Blood Bank of St.James Hospital, Chalakudy. NSS volunteers and students actively participated in the programme, and a total of 20 persons donated blood during the drive.

NSS Day
The NSS Day was observed on 24th September 2025 by NSS Units 54 and 130 of Panampilly Memorial Government College, Chalakudy, with great enthusiasm and active participation from volunteers.Welcome address was delivered by Programme Officer Sri. Shaijan S K followed by the inaugural address by Principal Dr. Shaju K. S., who highlighted the importance of volunteerism and social responsibility among students.
As part of the celebration, NSS volunteers organised a flash mob conveying this year’s NSS theme, which drew attention and appreciation from the audience. Dr. Shiju K, Head of the Department of Malayalam and former NSS Programme Officer, delivered the NSS message,.Ms. Jasna K A, Programme Officer, presented the yearly plan of activities,

Blood Donation Camp
A Blood Donation Camp was organised on 17th September 2025 by the NSS Units 54 and 130 of Panampilly Memorial Government College, Chalakudy, as part of the Mass Blood Donation Drive initiated by ABTYP in collaboration with the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare.
The camp was conducted in association with the Blood Bank of St.James Hospital, Chalakudy. NSS volunteers and students actively participated in the programme, and a total of 20 persons donated blood during the drive.

One Day Orientation for first years
The NSS Units 54 and 130 of Panampilly Memorial Government College, Chalakudy, conducted a Orientation Camp for first-year NSS volunteers on 22nd August 2025 at the College Auditorium. The session commenced at 1:30 p.m.
The camp aimed to introduce the new volunteers to the objectives, structure, and activities of the National Service Scheme (NSS), fostering an understanding of community service and social responsibility.

Setting Up Fruit Garden
On 15th August 2025, in connection with Independence Day celebrations, a fruit garden was set up in the college premises. The initiative was undertaken to promote greenery, environmental sustainability, and healthy living on campus.
NSS volunteers and college staff actively participated in the event, working together with great enthusiasm. Various fruit saplings, including Rambutan, Mangosteen, custard apple and mango were planted .

NMBA PLEDGE OBSERVANCE
As part of the Nasha Mukt Bharat Abhiyan (NMBA) , a nationwide initiative to create awareness about the harmful effects of drug abuse and to promote a drug-free India , a pledge-taking ceremony was organised by the NSS Units 54 and 130 of Panampilly Memorial Government College, Chalakudy, on 12th August 2025 .
The NMBA pledge was administered by Sri. Sabu George . Assistant Professor of Commerce urging students to stay away from drugs and to spread awareness about healthy and responsible living among peers and the community. The event aimed to sensitize young minds about the dangers of substance abuse and the importance of leading a disciplined and purposeful life.
