Counseling Centre/ Jeevani

Jeevani is a state-level mental health and wellbeing initiative launched by the Department of Collegiate Education, Kerala, for college students. The project began in the academic year 2019–2020.

The college has established a Jeevani Counselling Centre, which provides professional support to enhance the mental health and well-being of both staff and students.

Main Objectives

  • Promote mental health awareness among college students.
  • Early identification of psychological or mental-health issues, including stress, anxiety, depression, and interpersonal challenges.
  • Provide timely counselling and psychological support through individual counselling sessions, assessments, and referrals when required.
  • Encourage positive behaviours, life skills, emotional resilience, and overall well-being among students.
  • Reduce stigma around mental health support on campus, fostering an environment where students feel comfortable seeking help.
