Walk With a Scholar (WWS), sponsored by the Government of Kerala, provides specialized mentoring programs to undergraduate students through internal and external mentors. It facilitates necessary orientation programmes for students to set appropriate, high, attainable, and realistic ambitions in life and shows the ways and means to achieve them. The scheme helps students to identify avenues for development, areas for higher studies and shows other opportunities in life.
The College Council acts as the monitoring committee and supervises the activities of the program in the campus. The activities of the scheme are coordinated by a College Level Coordinator and five other internal mentors identified from among the teaching faculties. Every year each internal mentor spends 20 hours and external mentors spend 30 hours with the selected students.
Admission to the scheme is voluntary in nature. Any student of a first-year degree programme with a minimum of 60% marks is eligible to apply for admission. The maximum number of students in the program is 30. The students are selected department-wise on the basis of merit in consultation with the respective heads of department and class tutors.
