NSS Unit of the college organized a series of highly commendable programmes during the course of the year. For operational convenience the activities of the Scheme are sub-divided into 6, each headed by a separate student leader. The maCjor functionary units are: Pain and Palliative Care Unit, Red Ribbon Club, Laharivirudha Samithi, Energy Conservation Club, Herbal Garden and General Activities. The year round activities of the NSS received a pat from the Youth Officer who was present at the college at one of its functions. The major programmes taken up by the NSS were: World Palliative Care Day; ‘FOOD FEST’ for Charity; Distribution of rice packets to the poor; Donation of Wheel Chair to the poor; Conducted a One Day Medical Camp; ‘HIV/AIDS – Mainstreaming Seminar’ programme at ‘Vachumaram’ Tribal Settlement Colony; Energy Conservation Club; Herbal Garden in college; Cookery Show at college; ‘Environmental Day’; International Day against Drug Abuse; Vanamahotsavm; Independence Day Celebrations; Cultural Competition at College; 10-day Special Camp 2010; National Cycle Rally; World AIDS DAY; Gandhi Jayanti and Pre-RD Selection Camp.
